Idle Air Control Valve
The idle air control valve (IAC Valve, IACV) is a valve mounted on the throttle body side vent to regulate the idle speed of the vehicle and ensure that the vehicle does not stall at low idle speeds. At idle speed, the throttle is almost completely closed.
